3 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

Chapter Twenty

Chocolate Dreams

Creamy. Luxurious. Chocolate. A dessert that is smoothie, utterly light, and absolutely perfect for an after dinner treat. Three simple ingredients bring together this delicate mousse that comes together in under twenty minutes. Making this the perfect weeknight dessert, or the best last minute sweet for unexpected guests

This small batch dessert is simply delicious. Mousses can be finicky and difficult to recreate but sometimes simpler is better!

Cocoa Powder- Depending on your preference you can add a subtler, or darker cocoa powder for a more chocolatey taste! I like to use dutch cocoa, but it’s all up to you! Make sure to sift your cocoa with your powdered sugar so avoid clumping and to make the whipping process easier. Check the taste and adjust as you go along, in case you want a deeper taste or sweeter!

Jar- I use a small jar to hold this mousse. About 4 inches tall, and 2 inches wide. But any small jar will work, this dessert is small batch so it makes around 4-5 depending on the size of your jars.

Heavy Cream- While carrageenan isn't always a desirable ingredient in heavy cream it really helps this mousse keep its shape and whip so thick! Make sure to check that on your heavy cream ingredient label. I also find it helpful to whip the cream by itself first until it forms soft peaks before adding in your powder and getting it to stiff peaks!
