Dessert Charcuterie Boards

You know what's an easy dessert to assemble without having to turn on your oven? Charcuterie boards. It’s perfect for customizing to your guests' taste, just bring together everyone's favorite chocolate, cookies, and fruits for an easy grab and go on your sweets table!

Charcuterie boards have long been used for the party scene, being able to combine many different food groups is exactly what is needed for a large gathering. It also helps that oftentimes these boards don't need any precooking, perusing the aisles of stores for your favorite sweets is a fun build up to the creativity that goes into assembling these boards. Really take into account what your guests may prefer in terms of a chocolate or cookie board, if  dark chocolate truffles may be in better favor or white chocolate truffles. Whether chocolate covered nuts or dipped cherries will be a favorite among the crowd. Tap into the flavors that you know your guests will enjoy!

Chocolates- You want to vary in texture, size, color, and flavor with your chocolates. That may mean having peanut butter cups for their flat dish shape, or round truffles for their sweet taste and elegant finish, white kitkats for their color, or dark chocolate covered espresso beans for their bitter flavor.

Fruits- Choose fruits that will taste good dipped in your spreads, and pair well with your chocolates. Which includes but is not limited to strawberries, raspberries, cherries, and blackberries! But your fruits may also vary on your spreads, if you choose to have caramel then apple slices may also suit your board.

Spreads- Think about which spreads will pair well with your chocolates, fruits, and cookies. Chocolate spread, cookie butter, and caramel are the usual go-tos but don't let that limit you! Melt your own chocolate and make your board a fondue station, find cookies and cream spread, or use whipped cream instead of traditional spreads!

Cookies- Make sure to have a good variation in your cookies that will make your board stand out. Similarly to the chocolates different shapes, colors, and textures really create the polished look in the end. Wafer cookies, sandwich cookies, chocolate chip, thumbprint, macarons all will achieve different looks while still maintaining your cohesive theme.

Other- Aside from fruit and chocolate your board can feature chocolate covered nuts, yogurt dipped fruits, chocolate covered pretzels, s’more bark, and more. This is where you can fill in all your crunchy and chewy fixins!
